FROM VENDING MACHINES FOR DOGGIES TO LINGERIE FOR MEN.

Whose a good dog then? Hungry canines in south London were given an unexpected treat when the world’s first vending machine for dogs pitched up on Clapham Common, London, this week but, whilst their owners can just pull out some loose change in exchange a sugary treat, these dogs were made to work hard for their rewards as every element of the machine was created with a dog’s needs in mind, encouraging fun engagement and exercise. Oh dear! OR words to that effect ........ Jigsaw maker Dave Evens, 60, is in bits after a world record 19ft 6in by 8ft, 40,000 part jigsaw puzzle made up of a montage of photographs of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee he had just finished making collapsed into pieces. MORE

Looking on the bright side ..... so you are unable to park the car but there's enough light to make seeing the keyhole easy.... An embarrassed  great-grandmother had a driveway laid just days after the council put a new lamp post outside her home and now faces a £1,200 bill to move it so that relatives can park there. MORE

Can you spot what is missing? Workmen painted yellow zig-zags and the word 'School' on the road outside of a school in Chester, failing to spot the school was bulldozed four years ago. MORE

What do you mean you aren't Captain Hook?  The members of Parkham Women’s Institute like to make their meetings a bit of fun by holding a light-hearted competition so when a visiting speaker came to give a talk about piracy, they decided to dress up as Long John Silvers and Captain Hooks, complete with eye patches, plastic cutlasses and even a toy parrot.only to discover their guest speaker (who thankfully had a sense of humour) had actually been booked to give an account of his terrifying experiences of being held hostage by ...... Somali pirates. MORE

And now for the news from abroad ....

A novel way of overcoming writers block? Chad Leslie Peters, an 'experimental exotic novelist' is offering an intern, an open-minded 20+ woman who practises safe sex, the chance to begin an affair with him for his new book which will detail every aspect of a mutually-agreed to romantic affair between the author and a young FEMALE lover as experienced over 30 days. MORE

WARNING: Only scroll down if you aren't eating your breakfast/dinner/tea ......

I'm all for equality BUT ..... Australian lingerie firm, HommeMystere, is launching a new range for men which include ‘comfortable men’s panties that really do fit, bra straps that don’t fall off the shoulder, teddies that don’t ride up halfway through the night.' MORE

Whoa...I'm glad for the warning, too. I might have spewed tea otherwise!!

I love the idea of the doggy vending machine. And I probably shouldn't laugh, but the whole pirate thing was really funny to me.

If you give a dog a vending machine....

Peters' immersion memoir-to-be will give new meaning to the phrase, "kiss and tell". Ahem....

Thanks for your warning about the lingerie. (I already had my breakfast, thankfully.)

Happy Monday, Petty!

That vending machine? Tre dangerous for my little pups....because of course they would want things, and I would be obliged to get them and then it would be empty, and then the other little neighborhood dogs would be jealous and it'd be never ending! LOL. Cute idea though. ^_^ As for the last story...no comment *o*

That vending machine is kind of an adorable idea.

Wow, that author? I can't even imagine someone wanting to do that, but I guess there are people out there that will probably take him up on the offer. Sheesh.

the male lingerie is disturbing, and the machine for dogs is interesting, but how often would it be used?

The vending machine for dogs sounds like a cute idea. I can always find entertainment in so many places from your Monday posts. :) Thanks!

It never ceases to amaze me how you compile your Monday posts.
The vending machine may be a hit among canines because curiosity is their bed-fellow. The video looks nice- a good game for them.
No the lingerie looks odd and weird too.
The writer has a novel idea . wonder if he 'd be lucky.

Didn't quite get it - who will be fined - the grandmother for the driveway or the council for the lamp post??

That vending machine would become an instant hit here in America! No doubt about it! And who knows that lingerie might too!

Thanks for all your comments.

It's good to see you back Anilkurup - I was beginning to worry.

It is the woman who will have to pay for the cost of moving the lamp post as the drive was there first.

Not knowing many women who particularly like such impractical lingerie (at least not as everyday wear) I can't imagine many men choosing to wear it either.

Hi Tracy,

I am beginning to wonder just how you research your Monday posts!!

An author who is specifically searching for an intern as a sex parner ... the concept is bad enough, without the fact that he doesn't even want to pay her. It would serve him right if a male intern applied ... would job equality mean that he had to take him on? ... that would be divine retribution!!

Have you actually checked out the lingerie company's website, it's all very troubling, although in these days of mens makeup and skincare, is it really such a surprise (shock?)

Apparently some men are foresaking the traditional stag night, in favour of a men's pamper day experience!!

Give me a proper man any day!!
