TO THINK IT ALL BEGAN WITH BLONDIE.

Yes, I know, I promised you a Media Monday post but, to be honest, still on a high after last night's World Book Night (it went really well, thanks for all your support) I simply haven't had the time (nor energy) to put together the finishing touches so, in a change to what I had planned to publish, today we have a photography inspired post, followed by more on WBN on Thursday, a book review on Friday and Media Monday on, well, Monday.

'Elf/Hobbit' Me

'Manga' Me

The Stranger Within
Written by Mike Atherfold
 Performed by Miroslav Andjelkovic.

Just some examples of the work of my creative cousin Michael/Mike 'Affaz' Atherfold who after studying at Northumbria University became involved with Zodiac Films and now produces video and photographic art for theatre and community groups throughout the north west of England where ......

For any of you living near Salford, Manchester, he features in an exhibition currently on show at The Salford Museum and Art Gallery.

Amazing to think it may all have begun when as kids Mike, my (naughty) little sister and I could be found playing at being pop groups Blondie and X Ray Spex. Ah, such happy days.

And talking of talented families .....

How do you, my blogger family, fancy getting out your photo album(s), selecting a photo (non-digital) that is special to you and writing a post on it?

Sounds like fun, right?

For details on this, the 'One Picture From My Photo Album' contest, simply pop over to THIS POST on Arti's My Yatra Diary site and get searching through those photos.

Congrats on the event...I knew it'd go well! ^_^ We actually had a little in store celebration as well. A member of the community chose our location to hand out their titles...less than 2 hours later all were gone but the joy of reading was spread and the message was heard loud and clear. AS for the pic, love them! Curious, if you had to choose one hairstyle for yourself, which would it be? ^_^

Glad the event went well! :) I feel like I'm reading these in a strange order since I just wished you luck on an earlier post. I blame my recent distraction with "real life."

When I was about 10, me and my best friend from across the street used to work out routines and sing to The Monkees. And one of my favorite things to play at was Dark Shadows. Of course, Blondie is much cooler.
Love the manga look by the way!

Yes, Nina they are indeed me as a child.

As for my choice of hair style, Gina, I think I'd pick the manga.

Undecided as to whether or not to enter Arti's competition Sandy, what do you think?
