A BUS, A TAXI, A JET PACK, A SURFBOARD AND ..... A HAMSTER WHEEL?

"The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round" ..... for 12 days.
The wheels on this bus from Birmingham, England, do indeed go round and round - all the way to Mirpur (also known as Little Birmingham), Kashmir.
The lengthy commute, costing £130, passes through seven countries before finally reaching its destination. More

Not more noise pollution!
The 'Sound Taxi' has been modified with specially fitted speakers and microphones to pick up and record the London buzz.
It feeds cockney chatter or noise from loud Londoners into software which turns it into live music played through the cab's collection of 67 loud external speakers as it drives through the streets of London. More

Looks like wheel good fun .......
A Wiltshire engineer is planning to walk non-stop across the Irish Sea in a giant hamster wheel.
Chris Todd, from Bromham, will tackle the 66-mile (106km) stretch of open water by walking for up to 48 hours in a hand-made paddlewheel raft. More

OR better still how about a jet pack?
If the drudgery of the daily commute has lost its charm, instead of getting the car out of the garage or heading to the bus stop London based business man Jeremy Paxton (51) straps on his £115,000 jet pack which uses water pressure to lift him 30ft into the air and propel him along horizontally at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour. More

OR maybe a surfboard?
After more than three months of rain fell in just three days in certain parts of Britain surfing instructor Oli Barrett of Castleford, West Yorkshire, has no problem getting to work in the floods - he hitched himself to a friends 4x4 and using his surf skills to negotiate the floods surfed to work. More

And talking of floods, the news from my home city .......
Engineers are hoping to to assess flats in Newcastle which were left 'extremely unstable' after severe weather caused flooding. More

The perfect dress for all my Christmas parties?
One of the worlds most expensive dresses has been unveiled on the catwalk.
Costing a mere £3.5 million, the literally dazzling dress by British designer Debbie Wingham is adorned with 50 two-carat black diamonds and weighs 29 pounds (13 kilograms). More

Now it's the turn of my favourite two stories of the week .....
A police constable has risked embarrassment after launching an investigation into a 'suspicious light source' which was later found to be .... the moon.
The constable was on duty late one evening last month when he spotted a "shining light" glowing over Clent Hills, a range of scenic peaks which rise up more than 1,000ft in Worcestershire.
He radioed his sergeant, telling him he was "off up the hills" to investigate the "suspicious bright light" from 'over the other side of the hills'.
He warned that as he was "single-crewed" he might require back-up if he found a crime in progress. More

A cardboard policeman used as a crime prevention aid has been stolen from a supermarket.
The six-foot tall life-size figure, named PC Bobb, was placed in a Sainsbury's Local store to deter shoplifters.
The model was stolen last Saturday evening and photos of it have appeared on social networking sites, including appearing at several house parties since being stolen from the shop in Shafton, Barnsley. More

Well I never!
Ali Ganjavian, a Hampshire inventor, dreamt up the Ostrich Pillow, a cross between a luxury pillow and a balaclava in which wearers can rest their head and hands inside. More

I've slept with hundreds of men but it's not what you think!
Many of us grew up with those cute and lovable Mr Men characters from the beloved childhood book written by Richard Hargreave's but once we'd mastered reading that was pretty much it for Mr Tickle and co ..... not Michelle Harrop.
The mum of two has Mr Men merchandise worth £35,000 and the family home is shared with wall-to-wall memorabilia of the famous characters. More

I've brought you stories of pet hotels in the past but never one about a hotel for ....... chickens.
An egg-centric hotelier has turned her passion for poultry into a business after opening up a luxury five-star hotel for chickens.
Free from their chicken coops, the feathered birds can relax in five-star accommodation or roam free in the hotel's fox-proof garden and are taken for and trips to the local village pub. More

The flooding in Newcastle left quite frightning results!

I think the wheel things looks fun (though I'm sure it would be quite a workout) and something about that ostrich pillow reminds me of a character from Star Wars or something.

Sure hope they get bathroom breaks on that bus trip! The hamster wheel would definitely make me dizzy....but the dress is stunning (but WHOA on the price tag!).

Oh my gosh lol. That ostrich pillow looks insane. The pricy dress looks tacky to me.

I want a jet pack!

And if I lived in that building near the flooding, I would leave immediately . It looks very very unsafe.

That looks like some pretty bad flooding!

I can't imagine riding a bus for 12 days straight.
