(V)ICE LOLLIES AND (HAM)STARS.

Tears of sorrow, tears of laughter, which would you pick? ......

A quirky London emporium has come up with a range of cooking salts which they claim is made from human tears.
You can even choose what kind of tears you like, picking from salt made from Tears of Anger, Sorrow, Laughter, Chopping onions or Sneezing. More

And talking of food ......... can you remember me posting about Matt O'Connor who was selling ice-cream made from breast milk? Well, it seems he's been at it again with this controversial ice lolly.

An ice lolly has gone on sale - mixing holy water with alcohol.
The gun-shaped green popsicle consists of one part absinthe and three parts water from a spring which many Catholics believe has healing powers.
The Vice Lolly is now being sold for a whopping £18.58 at a controversial London ice cream parlour. More

A mile in under 7 minutes?

Runner Garret Doherty has become the first Briton to dip below seven minutes running a mile ..... backwards.
The 33-year-old smashed his own British record while defending his title at the UK backwards running championships, beating his nearest rival by over a minute to win in 6min 57sec. More

Caution: Men At Work signs that will have you laughing.

A mystery artist has baffled motorists with hilarious men-at-work road signs which makes them look as if they're doing anything but real work.
The amusing spoofs of traditional road signs took drivers by surprise in Solihull, West Midlands. More

At least this was one bridesmaid that wouldn't outshine the bride.

When Chelsea Mansell's boyfriend proposed she couldn't wait to be a bride - and knew that only one faithful friend was up to the job ....... Coco, her pug puppy.
Chelsea says: “When I chose my own red bridal gown, it seemed right to get her one made to match.”
So she designed a replica of her own dress with the words “To have and to hold” in diamante on the back. It cost £90. More

Article of the week ........How cute is this (ham)star?

The video was uploaded onto YouTube with the caption: 'Adorable hamster plays dead. No hamsters were hurt in the making of this film. More

Talk about lost in translation!!!!

Tesco supermarket admitted it had made a mistake over packs of ready meals boasting the word b*****ks in Italian.
Sun reader Giulia Maracrida, an Italian student living in Britain, spotted the gaffe as she tucked into a £3 spaghetti bolognese.
The microwave meals’ packaging features cosy pictures of rustic-looking signs hung from baskets in an Italian market.
But Giulia, 18, was stunned to see one reading “Le Palle de Nonno” — which means “Grandad’s b*****ks” and is considered a scathing insult in Italy.
Another saying “Coglioni di Mulo” translates as “Donkey b*****ks” — an even worse slur. More

And not before time ......

Antony Gormley's iron men sculptures have long stood naked on Crosby Beach, but thanks to a Guerrilla knitter they've finally been given some dignity.
Two of the artist's sculptures have received the unexpected protection of woolly all-in-ones to shield them from the coastal winds.

Agata Oleksiak gave one a pink, purple and green crocheted jumpsuit, while the other was brought to life in a white, grey and black number. More

All wonderful stories, though the knit cover for the sculpture is best. Will have to check what's happening here for International Yarn Bombing Day.

I can't imagine running a mile that fast let a lone backwards. Reminds me of the guy who completed a triathalon while juggling.

This was a particularly fun collection of stories I thought. The hamster should get an Oscar! Most excellent!

Great collection of stories! My favorite is the "men working" signs. The salt-from-tears business is a little off-putting.
