SELMA AND KENNY'S WEDDING TOAST.

Unable to attend their grandson's wedding, Selma and Kenny, married for 72 years, sent this video message which I'm hoping you'll all be able to view no matter where in the world you are.

The couples tips for a successful union include .....
  • Be good to each other
  • Keep the fridge well stocked
  • Put away a couple of dollars
  • Keep a clean house/travel/watch your husband
  • Don't argue.

So then, what would your five tips for a successful relationship be?

Mine?

  • Never take each other for granted
  • Don't be afraid to say I'm sorry
  • Always put the toilet seat down (Husband dearest))
  • Always squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom (me)
  • Remember that though you may love each other dearly there will be things about the other that annoy you.

That is the cutest clip!!! What a couple!

One thing I'd make sure to add to the list is to always keep some of your own interests and friends so that you aren't totally dependent on each other. Togetherness is great, but sometimes it's nice to have your own space.

I love this!! The only thing I'd add would be to keep your sense of humor, and to laugh together as much as possible. :)

Oh and keeping the seat down. It's a law, right? Punishable by death. ;D

Those two are tooo cute! I love the tip to keep an eye on your hubby followed by the topless pic!!
Those are all good tips. I'd also add be willing to compromise and admit when you are wrong. And be spontaneous.

Trust each other.
Give each other space.
Learn to say 'I love you' everyday...that helps.

All these tips given in your post are good for young couples who are getting into wedlock .Divorce rates are high in our society too. Going to happen right one in the family :(. really saddening. the marriage is not even 6 months old.

It is hard to improve upon what other have said. Perhaps "realize you can't really change another person so accept what they are."
