TACKLE YOUR TBR READ-A-THON WRAP.

TBR READ-A-THON. A bit late in coming to the Read-a-thon meant that in actuality I had less than two weeks to make a dent in a towering pile of books begging to be read.

Hoping to make a bit more of a hole in the pile than I did. I'm a bit disappointed that by the 27th I'd only actually managed three (and a bit) books.

Yet to review any of them, I'm afraid I'm way behind, I am however able to share that I managed ...

  • The Fourth Lad by Sydney Carr. Written by a local man who as it turns out is a natural story teller. As far as memoirs go one of my favourites of 2015.
  • Crazy, Beautiful Faith: For Irregular (And Regular) People by Nadia Bolz-Weber. I know, not a book you'd naturally associate with Pen and Paper but it's almost as if fate led me to reading this particular book at this particular time.
  • Demons Not Included by Cheyenne McCray. On my TBR pile for longer than I care to think about, I was determined to read this.
  • Flash And Bones by Kathy Reichs. 220 pages through the 271 pages in this, the 14th book in the Tempe Brennan series.
What about you? Reading anything good?

I hope you're getting some reading done. I haven't read any of those books to offer any suggestions. Happy reading!

Currently I'm reading The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, The Devil in the Marshalsea by Antonia Hodgson and Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan, which are all really good so far! - Tasha

That's still not bad for just a couple of weeks, so... good job.

My reading has slowed down as it always does this time of year. I'm currently reading X by Sue Grafton and have several other good books I still want to get to before the end of the year.

Thanks for sharing, Tracy. I haven't had time to read anything in forever - blah. As far as your weather goes, I'd be glad to take some of what you are getting and bring it to Texas for a spell! HA! :)

Hi Tracy, I’m always amazed by the number of books you get through. I would be very pleased with myself if I managed to read 3 (and a bit) books in a month.

I’m reading and very much enjoying A French Affair by Katie Fforde - this from the blurb – Gina and Sally Makepiece have inherited a stall in the French House – an antiques centre nestled in the heart of the English countryside. Gina is determined to drag the French House and its grumpy owner into the twenty-first century. Bearing all the attributes of a modern-day Mr Rochester, Matthew Ballinger is less than happy with the whirlwind that has arrived on his doorstep.

I will be interested to read your thoughts on The fourth lad & Crazy, beautiful faith. They both sound interesting.

My mother in law loves Kathy Reichs! I usually like to read that genre as well, I should really give her a read!

Hey, three and a half or so is better than nothing!! :) I'm currently reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (finally haha) and it's really good. I knew I would like it though. I'm such a fangirl when it comes to various things.

So many books, so little time said...

Every book counts--you did a great job, Tracy! I'm sure it's difficult to make a real dent in your towering pile of books!

I am jealous of the number of books that you have managed to read in such a short time. Lately I have been taking forever to get through a book.

As for your TBR pile, finishing three books is better then adding to it!
