HOPING YULE HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS WITH A FESTIVE MONDAY MEDIA.

Please note whilst I endeavour to keep Media Monday family friendly some of the articles featured do have links to articles of a more adult nature. TT

Forget the tree and the beard bauble, it's soooo last year darling ...

Gone are the days when grown men grew a beard to better display their rugged good looks this years its all about decorating their facial hair with glitter.

A-WHEY in a Manger ....

Having taken five days and 6lbs 4oz of mature Cheddar a food sculptor had grate fun creating a nativity scene made entirely from cheese.

Cheese not your thing? How about cake?

With 10kgs of icing, 5 kgs of marzipan, 3 kgs of gingerbread and 1kg of chocolate an Essex baking expert has come up with a festive treat you can wear by creating the world's first completely edible Christmas jumper.

And in another first ....

Not content with keeping children happy this Christmas a Manchester based company have opened the country's first pet grotto where well-behaved pets (yes, Father Christmas also knows if they have been naughty or nice. TT) get to meet Santa Paws, try some tasty treats along with the chance to try on some festive costumes.

Oh my goodness! So they do ....

A Devon town's Christmas lights have been branded 'pants' because they look like a string of giant undies.

Better pants than this?

Describing his tree commission by a five star London hotel as a 'Celebration of togetherness'. Controversial artist Damien Hirst's latest installation, a thirty foot Christmas tree decorated with scissors, syringes and medicine bottles as opposed to the more usual baubels and tinsel, has caused consternation amongst Mayfair residents.

Ah, that festive favourite - the Brussel Sprout!

A primary school in Great Cambourne, Cambs, is hunting a sprout-hating pupil who brings in cooked Brussel Sprouts and hides them in other children's bags.

In the Nordic news ...

A Norwegian newspaper has issued an apology after printing an article claiming to be Santa's orbituary.

And finally, my gift to you .......

How to untangle the Christmas lights courtesy of Tesco ...

Probably the last Media Monday of the year. For all of those who only join me once a week to read this post may I take this opportunity to wish you and yours health and happiness this holiday season.

One of the local shelters here has a Santa photo op for people to bring their pets in to see Santa. It's been going on for years. I've never taken our pets, but a friend takes her dogs every year. :-)

I love your media Monday posts. :-)

What a great collection of stories this week! (and some pretty darn good puns as well)

Given I live in the midst of "Duck Dynasty" land and never really cared much for ZZ Top, I can do without the bushy beard craze - decorated, glittered, or just plain.

I just saw something for glitter arm pits. I guess that is what happens when you get next to the beard? LOL

I also thought undies were the official lighting aspect of the season.

How to untangle lights my way: Buy new lights. :D

These were fun. Happy Monday!

LOL on the glittered beards! I can't believe that's a thing. >_< but I've definitely been seeing them around (though only on social media and not yet in person...thank god).

Tracy, I didn't know about the sparkly beards, the "bushy glitterati" until now. Too funny for words! I enjoyed your humorous Christmas-inspired post. Thank you for these noteworthy stories!

(P.S. The decorations do look like undies!)

That video should become a seasonal classic. The type of beard that those guys have has become very popular in the United States as of late I hope that the glitter also catches on :)

I so want to try the glitter beard, but I don't have a beard. Maybe I could do my hair instead, whilst I still have some.

These were good!
