The sun on your face
People saying thank you/a random act of kindness from a stranger
Finding money in unexpected places
Time to yourself
Laughing so hard it hurts
Snuggling on the sofa with a loved one
Freshly made bread
Doing something for others
Feeling clean after a shower.
According to this article the top ten of the fifty things that are sure to make us Brits feel great.
A freshly made beds, laughing so hard it hurts, snuggling up with Mr T, doing something for someone else, all of these and more would make my list but what about those things not on the list?
How about .....
Receiving a letter from a friend
The sound of someone laughing at one of my bad jokes
The first daffodils of spring
Cute cat photos/videos shared with friends on FaceBook
Looking through old photograph albums?
What about you, what are the things that make you feel great?

Perhaps it's time for me to sit down and write you a letter. :)
I have a little notebook that contains a list of things that make me happy/feel great. A couple I have listed are birds on my feeders (Cardinals in particular) and sunbeams streaming from behind a puffy cloud.
Tracy,
Your wonderful post brought a smile to my face. Here is a recent "goodie": I discovered that some tomato plants I'd forgotten about are thriving and producing fruit, despite my complete neglect!
Enjoy your day! :)
I agree. It is the "little" things that really have a big impact on happiness. :D
Just one compliment! I've dealt with negative emails from clients all day and it was so nice when an editor responded to my pitch, gushing about my credentials and saying they'd love for me to write for them. I needed a dose of SOMETHING positive in what has been a very negative day. (One criticism was that my article was a "stub." I guess comparing it to a tree stub?!)
I like the list and agree that they make me feel good. So do rainbows, listening to the rain, meteor showers, a cozy blanket, pictures, the list goes on. :) Always important to remember to be happy about the little things.
I'd include playing with my dog, and agree with the first daffodils of spring as I love when they pop their heads up out of the ground! Great list, Tracy!
I am American and most of these things make me feel great also.
I am not sure about the one about cleaning the bathroom however. I guess after one is done there is a sense of satisfaction.
Oh my, what a post! Loving all the things already listed. As for me, words spoken out of kindness, time with my fur babies, or just a relaxing day with a good book in a fav reading nook w/o the worries off everyday life would work. Okay, so perhaps they aren't all so simple. ^-^
I like your list. All of those things would make me happy too. :-) I would add cuddling with my cats, hearing my daughter laugh and seeing her smile. Waking up on a Friday morning knowing I have no where to be--at least not right away.
