I agree....those donuts look nasty! I just can't imagine putting those flavors together.

Hi Tracy,

None of those stories are particularly appealing this week ... I like sweet and savoury foods mixed together, but even I draw the line at spam doughnuts!

I am not sure which of your first two events are the most disgusting, I guess the custard pies are a lot sweeter than the mud, but probably equally as difficult to clean off and get out of all the little nooks and crannies!

Thanks for sharing.

Yvonne.

Spam doughnuts are two words that I don't think I ever expected to see together...! Thanks for posting these.

Mr T must be the only person who can see spam and doughnuts working together. To think people pay good money at spas for mud treatments.

Doughnuts with a Spam filling--yum! I'd love to also see a beer that tastes like that combo. ;)
Thank you for these zany "human interest" stories.

A spam donut?? Hmmm

When I was visiting New Orleans let year, they had a Red Dress Run. It was a marathon and everyone - man, woman , child and even dogs wore red dresses. It was really odd watching them run through the streets then fill up the restaurants after but it was fun to see too.

I'm not sure about a SPAM doughnut. Haha

I bet any of those contests and races would be fun to see in person (as a spectator).

Thanks for making me laugh, Tracy.

When I read "spam doughnuts", all I could think of was "I don't like spam!" skit from Monty Python! Ick!

This place is mind blowing. Even the tea they served was really fancy. It was the pyramid shaped tea bags. I heard this was one of Oprah's favorite items.
