BOOK AND DVD LOOK-A-LIKE.

Hmm, it seems that not only do some books have a case of Look-a-likeness, its also a condition that affects DVD covers as these two following films demonstrate ......

And talking of books, I don't think I've ever seen two books with such similar covers .......

Published April 2012.

To be published October 2012.

Hi Tracy,

With the book covers I can see a definite case of plagiarism here ... I mean, how many people would come up with exactly the same idea for a cover ... unless of course the publisher is the same, and in some way at fault.

You could level the same criticism at the film covers, but lets face it, who would not recognise the dishy Pierce Brosnan and in any way get him mixed up with Steven Seagal .... Sorry, no comparison!!

Well, those last two are exactly the same! And I actually wonder why we don't see more book covers copying movie posters!

The two book covers look like the exact same print. Surprised that publishers don't have someone research these things before choosing artwork! And I agree with Yvonne...while the pose may be similar, no way would anyone confuse Pierce with Steven!

I am always amazed at how many books share the same cover! I usually notice it more when the cover is a picture/photograph. I think it is weird- because that is part of how I identify a book.

How fascinating that the two movies used the same exact angle and pose.

Copyright infringement much?

Oh those are quite similar. I know for books, sometimes they use stock photos, which might be the case here, but who knows? That's funny about the movie covers though! I would never have noticed.
