FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD.

Vegetarian Anthony Coffman, 28, used a knife to launch a frenzied attack on a shops packets of meat in Indiana, USA. He told police it was his life's mission to save women from getting fat.

Visitors can make their own chewing gum - with curry, and gin and tonic among 300 flavours on offer - at the world's first micro-factory in West London.

Pensioner Bob Piller travels 86 miles every Friday to get his fix of quality fish and chips. The 76-year-old English widower faces a seven hour round trip using six buses from his home to his favourite chippy.

A meat supplier took back the steaks he'd delivered when a restaurant in Aachen, Germany didn't pay his bill. As well as the meat that was in the fridge or being cooked, he also removed steaks from the plates of diners.

A macabre mourner, who went to funerals of people he didn't know just to eat the buffet, has been banned by a New Zealand undertaker. "We'd see him three or four times a week - he'd even bring a backpack of Tupperware containers to take food away" said the funeral director.

Curry gum kinda defeats the object of gum. I can't see that making my breath fresh!

I have news for Mr. Coffman: Vegetarians can be fat! I know. I was a vegatarian for 8 years (and I disproved his theory)

Now I WOULD like to visit that gum factory. Not for any of the flavors you mentioned, but I'm sure there would be others I'd love.

As for that meat distributor...he might have gotten a fork in the hand if he tried to remove my steak. I'd just offer to pay him directly.

Too funny! I don't care how good the fish & chips is, they couldn't be worth a 7 hour bus ride! And the man who went to funerals for the food is beyond belief! Thanks for sharing these great tidbits!

Wow, you’ve sorted some great snippets for us here again. Thanks for this.
I can understand that good fish and chips is worth travelling for, but the uninvited mourner thing looks pretty lowly and sick to me – but what would I know….

All the best, Boonie
