HOW BIG A HYPOCHONDRIAC ARE YOU?

One of Husband dearest's (Hd) and my favourite 'quiz' shows is Stephen Fry's QI and watching last week there was talk of the Whitely Index - a self-test for HYPOCHONDRIA. Umm, I had to do this.

Want to find out just how big a hypochondriac (or not) you are? Click HERE and away you go. Oh and don't forget to let us know the results.

My results? Put it this way I don't need an appointment with our GP ....... at least not yet.

PLEASE NOTE:- The actual version of this episode is available to watch by clicking HERE but only for the next day or so. The programme lasts 30 minutes but the Whitely Index is first on the agenda.

Well, I did not fall into the Clearly hypochondriac category, however I'm close. I feel fine, but worry about serious illness a lot.

Very good dear, but please be aware that BBC iPlayer programmes are only available to people in the UK and not the wider world.

Should I be worried that I don't seem to be but feel that I am, hehe!

I think it's hilarious that #5 is offered in the description of how to answer, but is not included to circle under any of the questions! I guess that means that if nothing is circled by the survey taker that they must really be a hypochondriac or too close to death to make a circle!

I love quizzes, so I had to take this. I scored a 27, but it could easily have been a few points lower. (I tried to be honest!). So....I'm not exactly a hypochodriac, but I'm quite aware of the fact I'm getting older! (and both of my parents died young..50 and 54 so I'm always aware of that!)

Also...I'm glad you're doing another "countdown" this year! Those are fun!!

I'm not going to confess to my score. :) Although I would say I'm not a hypochondriac, I'm actually dealing with health issues - then again that's probably what a hypochondriac would say. ;)

I must remember to write a story once with a headstone which says,

"See, I wasn´t a hypochondriac!"

I will take this quiz when I'm feeling up to it. ;D

I have heard, though, that many doctors do not take women's health issues seriously enough at times.

Haha, a score of 24. I have not reached crazy-person's level yet, but I'll try harder next time! :)

I am fine.

I observed the same as Susan S. 5 is offered in the instructions (how to answer) and not in the actual questions.

I am one though on a pretty small scale..but my partner is a pro being hypochondriac I mean :) And oh yes it would be easier if we go a bit easy on the WebMD there :)

How are you feeling btw? Better I hope. Take care

I’m far too ill too be a hypochondriac, but my doctor doesn’t believe me.

Have a nice day, Boonie

Can be hypochondriac if there is some one to listen to and take care of!

That was comforting to me. I scored 25.
