 One of several bloggers who over ten days will be participating in this Blog Tour (the full list of which can be found in the Schedule at the bottom of the post). Today {the 7th day of the Tour) its my pleasure to be sharing my thoughts on ...

This unique activity book is packed with fun, creative tasks, plus a wide variety of mindfulness strategies including

✓ mind and body detective skills

Written by primary school teacher and founder of Mindful Mentors, Sasha Mullen, and best-selling author and tutor, Lexi Rees, this fully illustrated activity book provides children with the essential tools to be their best selves, every single day ... Synopsis

MY THOUGHTS ... Given that rather alarmingly evidence has shown that across the UK {not that its only here in the UK, many other countries around the world are reporting similar findings}  ...

'mental health issues in children are increasing while child wellbeing is deteriorating. Young people today have to navigate a complex and ever-changing world, facing challenges and pressures in numerous aspects of their life. In fact, 90% of school leaders have reported an increase in the number of students experiencing anxiety or stress over the last five years' {Source: Wise Up - children and young people's mental health charity}

its great to have a wonderful, child friendly resource such as Lexi Rees' and Sasha Mullen's BElieve In YOUrself that, though written so as to be suitable for mid-graders {largely accepted as children aged from eight to twelve years}, I truly believe provides some great mindful exercises for the whole family ... and what a great way  to connect.

With 7 chapter headings* {I loved that, come the end of each chapter, there was a 'Congratulations' certificate that congratulated the child on unlocking that chapter's mindfulness tools}, the journal is divided into sections, each of which builds a set of useful skills using different activities {amongst my favourites was the Marvellous Me Potion}, BElieve In YOUrself is full of ●marvellous facts, ●lists to complete, ●sheets to colour, ●fun things to do, ●practical exercises and ●activities that allow the child to reflect.

This sounds like such a good book. I love these type of resources, because mental health really does need to be prioritized more!

I can think of a certain young lady I know (great niece, currently only three - going on thirty!) who would already benefit from certain chapters of this book, as would mum and dad too, no doubt :)

She definitely doesn't lack in the confidence which comes from having a brother who is three years older, but for concentration and harnessing her imagination, this book would already work wonders I'm sure.

Her older brother has the exact opposite issues, so whereas concentration and focus aren't really issues for him at all, confidence and self-belief is definitely a little lacking.

This book seems to offer a good all round package :)

This is SO needed right now! I'm glad there's is something like it out there for younger children too.
