LET'S CELEBRATE 12 DAYS OF CLINK STREET PUBLISHING 2020 (PT 2).

Delighted to once again be celebrating all things Clink Street Publishing with the 12 Days Of Clink Street Publishing Blog Tour.

Having shared my thoughts on not one, not two but three of their Christmas books for younger readers in Let's Celebrate 12 Days Of Clink Street Publishing 2020 (PT 1) today I'm sharing my thoughts on yet another two books AND as if this isn't enough there are all these other wonderful readers (for the full Tour Schedule see below) celebrating all manner of books published by Clink Street Publishing.

MY THOUGHTS ... Oh my goodness, what a delightful little read.

Despite that distinctly mischievous grin Scampy Doodle turns out to be one of the sweetest dogs with the biggest of hearts.

A great festive read all about the magic of Christmas Eve when everything that can go wrong does go wrong (without giving too much away, Santa doesn't quite make it down the chimney and there aren't quite enough carrots) but that's OK because Scampy Doodle has a Plan B.

Because of the font a book that younger, less confident readers might (and I use the word might) struggle with. Not that that's a problem, as what better way to spend a cold winter's night than cuddled up with your loved one(s) reading them a wonderful little story about the world's cutest dogs?

MY THOUGHTS ... A fun festive read, its cover eye-catching, bright and cheerful, its illustrations ...

Hmm! What I can only describe as having a claymation feel about them. Incredibly rich in detail; I've read through the book several times now and each time I've found something new that has surprised me/made me smile

And as for the plot ...

A fun story with some adventure and the kind of mild peril that young children adore, I loved it.

I think both of these sound like great fun and I'm totally won over by the illustration of Scampy Doodle on the cover of the first. What a cute dog! The comparison to "claymation" in the second is a winner for me, too.
