MEDIA MONDAY & WONDROUS WORDS WEDNESDAY ..... ON A SUNDAY?????

Previously used in a charity event, 100 rubber ducks have been put to good use by the folks of an Oxfordshire village .....

Hmm! Never mind what the study had to say about those of us who can tickle themselves, what I want to know is what does this say about those of us who actually tried tickling themselves .....

And finally, you know you are REALLY bored when ...

You find yourself reading up on eight uses for an Ikea bag (nine if you are planning to carry any purchases home in it) .....

Now onto Wondrous Words Wednesday Sunday with two words new to me ...

Lepidopterist ...
A person who studies or collects moths and butterflies.

Psithurism ...
The sound of the wind in the leaves and tree.

The inability of most to tickle themselves is one of life's great mysterious that is beyond the realm of both philosophy and science.

I can't help but smile at the rubber ducks in the potholes, but it's actually a very good idea. Potholes can cause great damage to a vehicle.

As for the IKEA bags.... amazing what people come up with!

Fun post, Tracy! It (not me) tickled my funny bone. I love the IKEA bag story--people are so creative! And the rubber duckies seem especially pleased to have a purpose. :) I enjoyed the Wondrous Words Sunday as well, although I am not sure how to pronounce your choices. Enjoy your weekend, Tracy!

Tracy,

I, too had to smile when I saw
all those rubber ducks, but I
do hope that using them has helped
to protest against the potholes.
People are definitely very inventive
and creative with IKEA bags.
And I enjoyed Wondrous Words Sunday.

The rubber duckies are hilarious while the ikea creations are actually rather beautiful (in a strange sort of way). I can’t say I’ve ever tried to tickle myself, but then why would I? Have a good week.

I didn't know there were that many uses for an IKEA bag.

Ok, I admit it, I can tickle myself (specifically, my insteps!!) ..... but I think I am a normal well-balanced person!!
I knew the first word, but not the second.

Now I have to try to tickle myself . . . :-) Love the article about the uses for ikea bags. What fun it would be to go around putting rubber ducks in all the potholes around here. Haha!

Thanks for sharing, Tracy.

I used to try to tickle myself when I was a kid! Don't know what that says about me. :D

Love these stories and *quack* :D

The rubber ducks made me smile. Quite an effective and humorous protest! And I can honestly say that I've never tried to tickle myself, but am now curious. :)
