AN EGGSTRAORDINARY MEDIA MONDAY POST!

Please note whilst I endeavour to keep Media Monday family friendly some of the articles featured do have links to articles of a more adult nature. TT

Let nothing come between the northern man and his pint ....

'Then we realised it wasn't getting any higher and the damage had already been done, so we decided we might as well sit in the beer garden anyway and have a pint' said John pictured sitting up to his waist in flood water in a Leeds pub garden.

Most understated comment of the week ...

A Birmingham woman took revenge on her cheating husband by selling their house all within two weeks commenting 'Things aren't great between us at the moment.'

And if selling the family home isn't subtle enough there's always ...

The service that charges a small fee to break up with your boy/girlfriend so you don't have to.

Most resourceful employee of the week?

Having unsuccessfully tried to deliver a parcel a delivery driver professionally filled in a form for the home owner stating 'I have left your parcel in a safe location as requested.' The safe location? The home owner's roof.

I yolk you not, this is a truly eggstraordinary article ...

A Cornish couple were left shell-shocked, the husband believing his wife was cracking up when she broke an egg only to find a second egg inside of it.

I'm totally amazed at that egg. I've seen my share of "double yolks", but never one still in its shell!

I enjoy my beer, but I'm just shaking my head at those guys sitting in the river...

I would hate to be that homeowner having to get on the roof to get the package! I can see why a service to break up with someone might get a lot of business. It's a terrible way to do it though. The coward's way out.

That's an unusual egg! Rather extreme measures taken by the woman with the cheating husband.

Thanks for the giggles!!

I've always thought that if someone breaks up with someone else other than face to face, you should be happy you are rid of that joker. What a curious egg!

I remember seeing those two men sat in the water having a pint and thinking they're mad!

I just love those two chaps sitting in the river drinking a pint. It amused me when one of them said he stood and shouted at the water, but it didn't seem to do much!
I might have thought twice about eating that egg/eggs – all a bit odd if you ask me and as for Laura and her cheating husband – good on her!
Happy Holidays Tracy, look forward to catching up with you in the New Year.

Happy Monday my friend! That's too cool about the egg - I've never heard of that before! :) I'm dying LOL at the beer and the sale of the house! That's one way to show him - HA! xo

Wow, paying someone to break up with someone for you? That's crazy! And putting the package on the roof? that is quite amusing!

I've heard about eggs within eggs (metaegg?) before but that service to help one break up with the girl/boyfriend is ... gosh, this is how it is, huh?

Tracy, you mentioned needing a reassurance on Winn-Dixie and here it is, despite it being a bit of a spoiler: The smelly dog is ALL RIGHT! Hope you enjoy the story.

Fascinating the "eggstrodinary".
Equally lovable the man on the roof of the pub.

That egg thing is interesting. I am glad that they managed to get a picture of it.

Freaky egg, and oh lord if my book was on the roof I would freak.

Hi Tracy,

Knowing someone who keeps laying chickens, I have come across the 'egg' scenario before. I'm not a big egg fan personally, only really enjoying hard-boiled eggs, although I will try scrambled occasionally, but only if they are very firm! The thought of being presented with a fried egg would be my worst nightmare .. especially if I felt obliged to eat it!

I have every admiration for the woman who sold the family home out from under her husband, although the story did lose some of its wow! factor, when it was revealed that he really wouldn't have had a lot of say in the matter anyway! Any partner who cheats, be it man or woman, deserves everything they have coming to them as far as I'm concerned!

Great story sleuthing again this week :)

Yvonne.

Love the story of the two men having a pint in the river! Especially when he shouted at the water, but it paid no mind. Too funny! But paying someone else to break-up for you is more than a little cowardly. I'd be more angry that they couldn't tell me to my face than sad that they were breaking up with me!
