WONDROUS WORDS WEDNESDAY, ALMA BOOKS CHILDREN'S BOOK MONTH ... OH AND A WONDROUS PUMPKIN.

Wondrous Words Wednesday, a meme that Yvonne @ Fiction Books (see her latest WWW post here) and several of my other blogger feature on their blogs. I enjoy joining in every now and then and, given that Mr T maintains that if they gave out degrees in talking pure s***e I'd have a Masters degree by now, how could I resist sharing this, my first word courtesy of FaceBook ....

And from three of my recent reads ...

From the Improbability of Love by Hannah Rothschild ...

PULCHRITUDINOUS
Great physical beauty and appeal.

From Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl ...

HEBETUDINOUS
Dullness of mind, lethargy.

From Whispers Through A Megaphone by Rachel Elliot ...

TRYPOPHOBIA
A fear of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps.

Not happy with just a week of celebrating children's books the wonderful folk over at Alma Books present - drum roll if you'd be so kind ...

Oh, I always love the WWW posts at Yvonne's so great to see you joining in, too. All of your words are new to me, though something about that first one is vaguely familiar - not that I could have put a definition to it.

Excellent pumpkin! Thanks for sharing it with us here.

Oh I love words like this. Totally need to use blahterskite in a sentence now. It would be easy... have you seen one of our candidates for prez? LOL

WONDERFUL wondrous words! I enjoy this meme, too, created by Kathy from BermudaOnion's Weblog.

Thank you for sharing Mr. T.'s terrific Jack-o-Lantern! (I am not on Facebook too often, and usually I just go on briefly, to check for birthdays.)

Thanks for sharing Tracy.

I love such exotic words. There is a fun game that I play. When I learn a new one I try to use in in conversation. I usually do this with folks who tend to also be amused and interested by such things.
'
I will try to use at least one of these words tomorrow.

Sweet niblets! That's an awesome pumpkin... and I'm loving the wordy play too. Of course, working them into a sentence may be a tad harder...😉

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for the mention, I appreciate it. However it is Kathy who is always so kind as to co-ordinate events each week and share the Linky button with us all.

Given that you didn't enjoy 2 out of 3 of your listed books, I'm surprised that you bothered to check out any of the words, but I am so pleased that you did, despite the fact that they are all new to me and make me feel quite inadequate!

Favourite out of the 4 words this week, is hebetudinous, that's just how I'm feeling at 11pm on a Thursday night when I need to be up again by 5am!

There is a real touch of the 'intellectuals' in this post, so thanks for sharing :)
