FROM C TO Z: FROM FELIX THE CAT TO A ZEBRA WHO ISN'T WHAT THEY FIRST SEEM.

Whilst I endeavour to keep Media Monday fairly family friendly some of the articles linked to do contain links to articles with a more adult theme. TT

Having worked hard capturing both mice and commuter’s hearts for the past five years, Huddersfield railways station's cat Felix has received a purr-motion and a posh uniform to be envied by many a moggy.

Having disappeared from his home 14 months ago Clive a  two-year-old Norwegian Forest cat has been found safe and well and a whole lot chubbier having made his home in a nearby factory that makes ... pet food.

Two thieves on drugs raided a lorry on an industrial estate - but were soon caught with their haul of £14,000 of nappy cream.

It could have been worse, it could have been all wafer and no chocolate ...

A chocolate loving student from London is demanding a lifetime supply of KitKats – after buying a multipack that contained eight of the chocolate bars, and realising that none of them had wafer inside.

A prosthetic leg, a life-sized Spiderman doll, "enough musical instruments to form a band, a full-size house carpet AND a judge's wig - just some of the 300,000 items left on the capital's trains and buses last year.

And finally, the funniest news clip I've seen in a while, this Japanese article  had me laughing until I cried ...

A zookeeper donned a zebra costume to stand in for an escaped animal during an emergency drill at a Tokyo zoo.

I enjoyed the stories about Felix and Clive, but you know what? I think it might be fun to have one of those zebra costumes! Did I tell you I saw a whole pasture full of zebras when I was making the drive to see my sister earlier this month? I use to see several buffalo on that route, but never zebras!

I have to wonder how effective that exercise truly was considering the stand-in zebra was doubtfully as "wild" as a real one would be in the same situation.

I imagine Clive wasn't too happy to be found. At least now he can get lots of cuddles. :-) Love the photos of Felix on the job. LOL

I'm not sure that particular mistake by the candy maker is deserving of a lifetime supply of KitKats. But maybe replacements. :-)

Ooooh - a lifetime supply of KitKats - that will do nicely!

Hi Tracy,

I feel sure that Nestle, being Nestle, isn't going to be blackmailed into a lifetime supply of Kitkats! Me, I would rather have a lifetime supply of the Caramel bars any day of the week - much more wholesome and chewy :)

You know how much I love cats - NOT! However, even I have to admit a grudging liking for Clive. Apart from being very resourceful, he really is a handsome beast!

I like all your article link-in's this week, especially the "all wafer and no chocolate" one liner :)

Perhaps it was an evil case of butt rash (the nappy cream)? They may have already been punished. LOL

I want a Norwegian Forest cat! They are so large and cute! Also smart apparently. :D

Oh, Clive! That's hilarious. I wonder why he ever decided to go home, after living in a kitty food factory. lol

That's hilarious about the KitKat bars. But seriously? I'd be okay with just getting chocolate and no wafers. It's still chocolate!

I love the "Kat" theme this week. I do love cats, so I especially adored the story of Felix and Clive. The story about the lost items is quite unique and wonderful. Tracy, thanks for sharing these unusual stories!

Sometimes it gets difficult to pin point the different stories you quote.

The Zebra costume and the Cat who found his home in the pet food factory seems quite ingenious.
Cannot discount the kid for demanding his lifelong share of Kit Kat either.

It is nice to see that everything turned out good for Clive.

That zookeeper deserves a raise.

Felix in his hi-viz jacket cracked me up. I bet he's not that keen on wearing it. :D
