FIRST BOOK OF THE YEAR: 2016.

First of all may I wish you a happy new year, that 2016 will be good to you.

This January 1st I'm delighted to be joining Sheila (Book Journey) who is once again hosting the First Book Of The Year. An event that sees readers the world over sharing what they will be reading come the start of the year. So without further ado, here's me with my book ...

December's reading group read, I've only now got around to reading Elizabeth Gilbert's The Signature Of All Things in time for January's meeting on the 14th.

For a collage created by Sheila and for links to what other First Book Of The Year others are reading this New Year's Day click here. Oh, and please feel free to share what you are reading in my comments box, I'm longing to know.

I've just begun "Passing by Samaria" by Sharon Ewell Foster. It's my first selection for the What's in a Name Challenge.

Happy New Year, Tracy! I read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, around the time that I first started blogging. I have not chosen my First Book of the year yet. But I will, soon! :)

Happy New Year my friend! Looks like you've got a great FIRST BOOK picked out there. I'm finishing up ANYTHING FOR YOU by Kristan Higgins, from the Blue Heron series. LOVE these books! Happy reading!

Hi Tracy,

I shall be interested to read your review of 'The Signature Of All Things', as I was intrigued by the synopsis link you included, although a little disconcerted when it mentions that Alma becomes more interested in all things magical, the further on into the story you get.

I'm not really sure it is one for me, although the ratings and reviews have been phenomenal in their praise for the book.

I am still reading an excellent book I started in December 'Flowers For The Dead' and have read the first few pages of the next book on my list 'The Girls' by Lori Lansens.

I hope that you enjoyed the festive celebrations and I would like to wish you and yours Best Wishes for 2016 :)

Happy New Years Tracy!

I really like the first book of the year concept.

The Signature of All Things looks to be a good choice for starting your reading year. I would like to read it myself.

Happy new year lovely to you and your family. I was just saying on another blog I was just visiting, I love posts that have pictures accompanying them :)

I am just finished No Way To Say Goodbye by Anna McPartlin and just starting Murder Ring by Leigh Russell.
