I saw some of these stories this week - the horse in the McDonalds and the school boys in skirts, oh and the Christmas shop...! But you've still found plenty to surprise and entertain me! Thanks Tracy.

I think I agree that the thieving squirrels and seagull are the best stories this week!

Hi Tracy,

I caught a couple of those stories last week, but there were plenty of new ones for me to chuckle about .. as always!!

Yes, the school holidays are here, so Christmas must be just around the corner!!

I volunteer in a charity shop and our Christmas cards were delivered into the head office about a month ago.

We were visiting a National Trust location in Devon and being obliged to have to walk through the shop to leave the property, I did notice that they had at least 20 different 2014 calendars on sale and a whole display of Christmas cards!!

That's it! I have had enough already ... Christmas is definitely cancelled this year!!

We actually have two Christmas shops near where I live and they are strange places in a heatwave. We have been really hot here too!

Maybe the Storm Trooper found the costumes that the re — enactors wore to be strange...

Why on earth couldn't someone from McDonald's just serve the woman?! I guess what happened in the restaurant rather serves them right!
I don’t know which of these is the funniest, I keep chuckling over them all – but I do love the Stormtrooper and the false teeth!!!

An excellent choice of stories, as always!

On a side note: You've been mentioned in my new 'Budget Bucket List' post...

I do love animal stories, what a naughty parrot. I wish they had a video of the squirrels!

When I was in school the boys staged a protest too! No shorts could be worn by boys or girls- but girls could wear skirts. One day it was in the 90s (degrees F)all the boys in 7th and 8th grade wore skirts to school. Guess what- the school changed the rule and everyone could wear shorts as long as they were to the tip of your fingers or longer.

I love all the headlines but I must say that boy skirt protest is my favorite. maybe it is just the relief to see that other parts of the world have heat waves too. We'v had such a hot summer.
Cheers!

the seagull story and the case of the stolen teeth, was fascinating.

As usual you picked some really fascinating stories.
BTW the woman had every right to be served while on the horse back it is the same isn't it, drive in and ride in?
