Fast approaching her 30th birthday and finding herself not married, not dating, and without even a prospect or a house full of cats, Renee Greene reluctantly joins her best guy pal on a journey to find love online in Los Angeles. The story unfolds through a series of emails between Renee and her best friends (anal-compulsive Mark, the overly-judgemental Ashley and the over-sexed Shelley) as well as the gentlemen suitors she meets online. From the guy who starts every story with "my buddies and I were out drinking one night", to the egotistical B celebrity looking for someone to stroke his ego, Renee endures her share of hilarious and heinous cyber dates. Fraught with Bcc's, Fwd's and inadvertent Reply to All's, readers will root for Renee to 'click' with the right man.

Please tell me you didn't email him right after emailing me. No offense, sweetie, but nothing smacks more of desperation than getting an email from a girl at 2.30 am.
MY THOUGHTS: On hearing this drop through the letter box my first thoughts on opening the package were great cover (simple and yet sweet) followed by oh no! It's written not as a traditional novel but as a series of emails - hardly my favourite format.
Worried that it may not flow well as a story, annoyed to think that it may be full of abbreviations I did not understand (thankfully there were few) and concerned it might all be a bit voyeuristic, a bit like reading an email left open on a colleagues computer, I need not have worried as this turned out to be a highly enjoyable read that was both funny, occasionally 'naughty' and surprisingly quite moving.
My only criticism, if it can be called that, I would love to have heard more of Mark's story. Hopefully there's another book featuring this in the pipeline.
DISCLAIMER: Read and reviewed on behalf of the author I was merely asked for my honest opinion, no financial compensation was asked for nor given.

Totally going on my wish list....right now. Sounds like a laugh and a half. Thanks for the highlight Tracy! ^_^
That is certainly a different format of book.lol
Sounds like a lot of fun and naughty reading someone elses emails which kinda have replaced diaries.
Not sure how'd I feel about the format either. Glad you ended up enjoying it.
I think it sounds like a fun read - the format makes me want to read it ;-)
I'm glad that you ended up enjoying it. I too would have been worried that I wouldn't have liked the format.
It does sound like fun, interesting format.
Hi Tracy,
I am not sure that this is a book for me. It all sounds a little pedestrian and those abbreviations would really annoy me!
I have a friend who has become single and in her 50's. She has been on-line dating 'big-time', for some while now and some of the stories she comes out with, are mind boggling and quite frankly dangerous, given some of the situations she gets herself into!
I really don't think I could be bothered with it all now! One husband is enough for me and once he is gone, then I certainly couldn't be bothered with anyone else!!
I am glad that you were able to read between the lines of this story and offer such an honest review.
Thanks for sharing,
Yvonne
This book sounds clever and fun to me! I still haven't opened Holly's Inbox, which is on my shelf.
Not a bad criticism at all. i'm glad you liked this one because I really do love books in this format, or other non-traditional formats like actual letters, etc.
This sounds like a fun book. Unusual formats can be distracting, but it sounds like the author pulled it off here!
Glad that the email format ended up working and that you liked the book so much. Hopefully there is a book in the works from Mark's POV. I have added this one to my list- it sounds fun!

IT sounds perfect! I hope the library has it!
Love the sound of the email format, as that sounds interesting! Adding this one to my wishlist, as it sounds fun. Thanks for the heads up on a title I hadn't heard of!
This book does sound fun. I was previously apprehensive toward this format when my sister shared a story portrayed through emails. Actually it's not as bad as I'd thought. On another plus side, I read it quicker, too!
I like when we are pleasantly surprised, I don't mind email format for some of a book but not sure about a whole story.
