WHOOPS!

Young at heart and obviously still juvenile when it comes down to falling trousers, I couldn't help but laugh at this.

No apology could be as heartfelt as that offered by Councillor Colin Hall, the major of Leicester, who stood up in front of an audience of schoolchildren and watched .......... his trousers fall down. "I would like to offer my deepest apologies to anyone who was offended," he said, explaining that he'd had forgotten that day to wear a belt. - the Guardian.

Obviously mortified, if the children I worked with are anything to go by these children were more likely to find the whole incident extremely funny rather than offensive. A word to his lordship though - get some trousers that fit or be sure to remember your belt.

Don't worry! Keith Vaz MP a good pal of his read about the story and has sent him a nice leather belt as a memorial gift of the event.

Funny, but embarrassing. It happen to my husband one time when he forgot to put on his belt. Fortunately, it was at home with just a few friends..LOL

Now that's the kind of news story I'd like to see on CNN instead of all this trash about Lindsey Lohan and LeBron James.

That is news-worthy!

The funniest word you can use in a children's story is underpants.

Perhaps he should try with suspenders?

I can assure you I would have laughed if I had been there.

A lady at my church once walked down for communion only to have her halfslip drop down around her ankles. She just stepped out of it, picked it up, and went on without missing a beat.

Oh my goodness, dear Petty Wit, I almost forget- I finally had time to read for pleasure on my vacation in San Diego last week and very much enjoyed, "Seized" by Max Hardberger and "The Black Minutes" by Martin Solares. I know you are always on the "lookout" for a good read.

The children probably thought it was the funniest thing they've ever seen! But more importantly... was he wearing boxers or briefs? *snicker*

Congratulations on 100 followers! I love your blog, as you have the best posts! :)

Hysterical. Sadly, we are well accustomed to that as my husband has been losing weight now for a few years and we cannot keep him in trousers that fit. The children are always in hysterics around here!! I'm just glad he is getting healthier losing the weight :)
