I WOULD LIKE ........

It's Thursday and as the old concentration span is still not as it should be and the earth still occasionally spins I thought I'd schedule this post for today (Sunday) and then I could type a little as and when over the week-end.

A bit of a selfish post really, it was in part inspired by KELLY who wrote a post about her donkey, an animal I'd love to have if ever we were to win the lottery. Hardly likely I know but it got me to thinking about what else I'd really like.

Good health and mobility were pretty much at the top of the list (even less likely then us winning the lottery I know), closely followed by an evening of entertainment in the company of John Barrowman (pictured above as Captain Jack in TORCHWOOD). See, selfish when what I should have said was world peace or some such thing.

Anyway, quickly moving on, perhaps much more obtainable were these three things that I read about recently.

In no particular order ............

* TO PARTICIPATE IN SCRAP CLUB.

"It's Saturday night and in a warehouse, a load of old computers, CD stands, fridges and plastic toy cars sit in a pile. Behind a metal fence about 60 men and women from their mid-20's to early- 40's wait, apprehensive and excited, to smash them to pieces. This is Scrap Club, a burgeoning underground event set up by artists."

- reports Carlene Thomas-Bailey in the Guardian. (Click HERE for full report.)

**TO HAVE A COSY SUIT.

No! Not for myself. For Husband dearest, who hasn't expressed any desire whatsoever to wear one I hasten to add. I just think he'd look sooo cute, especially in the suit with ears.

"Inspiration from her offspring led Kate Dawson to make baby clothes for big brother ...........

"Kate set up business making adult-sized-baby-gros after a nanny commented on how comfortable her daughter Lilly's sleep suit looked and joked that she wanted one."

- says Kerry Wood writing in the Sunday Sun. (Full story HERE.)

*** INSTEAD OF A BAR OF CHOCOLATE TO BE GIVEN A CHOCOLATE DRESS. (As pictured below).

"Yes, this dress is good enough to eat - it's made of chocolate! Designed by German bakery Lambertz, it's chocolate heaven - just don't stand near a radiator ....."

- warns Full House magazine.

Just out of interest, what would you like?And/or who would you like to spend an evening of entertainment with?

Welcome back! Tell husband I said hi. I'd like my mother to be well, my book to be published and to spend the evening with my husband, my books and a warm fire.

Wow, you're back! Yay...I wish good health for you too.

If I would wish for anything, it is to travel to as many places as possible.

So good to se you posting again!

What I would like? To sell a crime story.

And you know what? I did! Yesterday I sold my first story ever - 300 words for the huge sum of $ 3.

Thanks for the mention!

You had some interesting choices.
That chocolate dress is amazing. I'd be afraid to move for fear it would crack!

Realistic wishes for me might include a trip to visit some of my blogging buddies (you included) and the opportunity to go to culinary school (my recent fixation with the Food Network).

Still along the food theme, I wouldn't mind dinner with chef Bobby Flay if he was doing the cooking! We could invite some of my favorite authors and musicians, too!

Nice to see you again!

You know, I wouldn't mind an evening's entertainment with John Barrowman, either. And whoever mentioned Richelle Mead up there, I'd like to meet her, too, because I love the Vampire Academy books. And then there's this musician, Owen Pallett - oh, there are lots of interesting people in the world. And if they showed up with chocolate, or wearing chocolate (hmm, John Barrowman in chocolate...)all the better.

I have to say I love that dress of chocolate. That is great!

Glad to see you are back, at least for a little bit of pieces at a time. Hope you really are feeling better.

It's so good to see you back here! I agree that good health would be tops on my list. Not that I have terrible health, but things just seem to happen in life and it would be nice not to have to worry about health issues.

I want...

The chocolate dress!

Health is high on the list. I have a blood pressure issue that can make daily life tiring but also, I wish wonderful health for you, my dear!

:-)

But I can't resist the fact that someone made a dress out of chocolate.

If I had a chocolate dress, I would be naked pretty darn soon!!!

And I'm glad to see you back in action with your "classic" type of post!

So glad to have you back! I hope you keep feeling better day by day!

As for me...

I would definitely take the dress as long as I was promised the opportunity to eat my way out later. :o)

A comfortable home in a nice neighborhood that my kids could grow up in.

And last, for my dear husband to have passed the Bar this go around, it's been one of the hardest challenges of our marriage and I just want him to know he did it.

I'll take the chocolate dress, except it will be a bikini when I am done, or maybe a thong!
