There is only one rule when you draw the Alice May Way and that is to have FUN!
Follow along with Alice, step by step, and learn how to draw a giraffe.
Packed with interesting facts about giraffes, the environment and what we can do to protect our planet, this all-age book is a must-have for those who love to draw animals.
Unable to draw a giraffe? Come the end of this easy to follow 21 step guide which begins with a mere two dots and ends with you adding some colour you'll hopefully be able to draw and colour your own giraffe ... and, if not, well, not only will you have had fun trying but you'll also be much more knowledgeable thanks to the fun facts that accompany each of the stages.
Not that this is all about the drawing of a giraffe, come the end of Alice May's book there are some wonderful giraffe based resources and guidance on protecting the giraffe as well as 'Giraffe Hide & Seek', a giraffe based word search and information on the importance of protecting the planet in which we live.
Ideal for both those who love giraffes and budding artists alike {the book is recommended as being ideal for those aged six years and upwards}, I can't say I came away having mastered the art of how to draw a giraffe but I most certainly had fun.
Alice is the double ‘Chill-with-a-Book’ award winning author of The House that Sat Down Trilogy and also How-to-Draw Giraffes - the Alice May Way.
A contributing writer and artist for Leisure Painter, the UK’s number one how-to-paint magazine, Alice is a huge advocate for the benefits of creative activities as part of an effective self-care toolkit.
She regularly speaks to clubs and groups about writing, painting and creative self-care.

What a fun book!! There was a time I might have bought it for myself. 😉 I'm more of a doodler than an artist and animals have always been good subject matter.
ReplyDeleteFelicity,
ReplyDeleteI have always loved giraffes. And
this sounds like a wonderful and
interesting book about how to draw
giraffes. As well as to learn about
them and protect the planet.
I will definitely keep it in mind, and
thank you for your excellent review.

How cute!
ReplyDeleteI bought a book about drawing doodle art and I still couldn't manage that lol Even so, it's still nice to touch base with my creative side.
