As so many of you had got in touch worried that I seemed to have disappeared at the end of January (my thanks for your concern, I cannot tell you how much it meant) I thought I'd let you all know that, a busy few days ahead of me, I plan to have a few days off. Ruth, a friend of mine since we were 10, is staying with Mr T and I for a few days. My birthday tomorrow, I shall be celebrating with Ruth and my family before bookish talk and cake with the lovely ladies of the reading group, one of whom shares my birthday ...

Sorry I missed your Birthday celebration post until now. I do hope that both yourself and Ava had a lovely day.
It's all birthdays at the moment. My brother celebrated on Februray 16th and my dad will be 90 today, February 18th. We were hoping to celebrate with him, however he has been taken ill and by the time you read this, there is a good chance that we will be making the journey to visit him in hospital!
I do hope that the cake was flowing freely for you :)
