So I don't know what classifies a book as crime fiction. It was a gruesome murder and there were low lifes involved. I don't think I could bring myself to read it, though.susan s.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03679099677585214433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372511622978085955.post-54783473311354015912013-04-10T16:53:01.454+01:002013-04-10T16:53:01.454+01:00Hmm. I think you will agree that it could account quite easily for his style and almost aggressiveness in his writing...

http://jamesellroy.net/about/

That still doesn't mean that you should like him of course, your review is totally honest, just as it should be, I just wonder what others in your reading group thought of it?

YvonneYvonne @ Fiction Books Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14821114534056290177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372511622978085955.post-88514183112915809932013-04-07T10:25:56.671+01:002013-04-07T10:25:56.671+01:00nice reading the review...nice reading the review...Kalyanhttp://icetrail.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372511622978085955.post-15119861191771589652013-04-07T00:12:50.372+01:002013-04-07T00:12:50.372+01:00I've found that you pretty much either love El...I've found that you pretty much either love Ellroy or hate him.Maude Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03669688074743095866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372511622978085955.post-77173696371849596582013-04-07T00:11:29.500+01:002013-04-07T00:11:29.500+01:00Dear Tracy

After reading the line 'Five days later, her tortured body was found drained of blood and cut in half.', I wouldn't have been able to read it further. You are very good at describing books. By just reading your review, I think I've read the book!
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO VISIT YOUR BLOG FOR A LONG TIME BUT DUE TO SOME NETWORK PROBLEM,WHENEVER I VISIT YOUR BLOG IT SHOWS AN ERROR. I AM VERY SORRY FOR THE DELAY. I LOVE YOUR WRITINGS AND AM ALWAYS KEEN TO VISIT YOUR BLOG.
From now on if I ever fail to leave a comment on your post then it will be due to some network problem! Thanks for the honest review! :)
Thank you so much :)
Aunt Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13732663968352463136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372511622978085955.post-76753905828793144372013-04-06T17:57:56.186+01:002013-04-06T17:57:56.186+01:00Wow...you definitely didn't like this! If I can't (and if there are a lot) then I feel like the author didn't do their job properly. Kimberly @ Midnight Book Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10649785182080499981noreply@blogger.com
